Who Are We
BigTinCan Maps is a commercial mapping service that provides companies, government organisations, local councils and other groups with the ability to create their own customized interactive maps, comprising of their own points of interest and locations, and make this available to their customers/user.
BigTinCan Maps provides our customers with a mapping solution that other mapping services cannot provide in that it allows them to add their own detailed map elements, including creating a custom map look and feel - creating a unique map that can be used for their own purpose and integrated into their own website or other online service.
BigTinCan operates a worldwide distributed system with data centre operations in Holland, Chicago, and Sydney Australia that can deliver rendered, customized maps to customers of any size.
Our WMS Service
The BigTinCan WMS (web mapping service) turns raw map data into pretty pictures. You can use our service to provide fully rendered map tiles delivered directly to your website or even hosted within BigTinCan Maps.
You can use the WMS service to create totally unique maps with your personalised data and overlays. We host all the information or provide you the data and tools to host it yourself.
BTC WMS Standard Package
- Has the ability to deliver up to 10,000 map tiles each month
- limited to a single hostname (ie yourdomain.com.au) to access the map tiles
- maps contatin street information & general Points of Interest
- tiles are updated on a six month basis
BTC WMS Enterprise Package
- Access to up to 3 domains to access the map tiles
- up to 500,000 map tiles each month
- hosted layers on BigTinCan Maps
- increased performance and tile download speed
- tiles updated daily
BTC Custom Package
- custom configuration
- multiple layers added
- custom map look and feel
- custom base layers
- integrated hosting or direct tile delivery to your site

BigTinCan Maps works on a monthly subscription basis.
